A blogger also wanted to add a Marquee like the one above the blog title in the demo blog. This can be done by adding extra ADD A GADGET. To do this, go to LAYOUT, click EDIT HTML. This will take you to the template editor. Look for showaddelement. Change showaddelement='no' to showaddelement='yes'. If there is a a maxwidgets='1' in front of the showaddelement. Change it to maxwidgets='2' or more or even leave it as maxwidgets='' (unlimited number). If you have problem looking for the above, press ctrl+F and search.

The above (searchbox, ad unit, marquee) were added using a HTML/Javascript gadget. Whatever you add can be dragged to any sections of your blog using your mouse.

Kemudahan WiFi didalam penerbangan

Saya sekarang telah berada di ruang udara India didalam perjalanan pulang ke malaysia. Jika sejak sepuluh hari lepas infoICT keudara setiap pagi dari garisan GMT +1 dan GMT 0, sementara RMKL berada di GMT +8. Pagi ini kita berada di GMT yang sama iaitu di GMT +8. Agak sukar juga membincangkan tajuk teknologi pada pukul 12 dan 1 pagi. Namun begitu walaupun adakalanya talian tidak begitu elok infoict dapat juga keudara tidak kira dimana saya berada.

Pada pagi ini saya ingin membincangkan topik WiFi. Kita sedia maklum dimana WiFi adalah merupakan satu teknologi tapa wayar yang boleh digunakan untuk mengakses internet tanpa menggunakan wayar. Namun begitu dengan mempunyai kemudahan WiFi pada komputer kita sahaja tidak mencukupi untuk kita mengakses Internet. Untuk mengakses Internet kita perlukan kemudahan pemberi sambungan Interent yang dikenali sebagai HotSpot.

Memang banyak hotsopt-hotspot yang terdapat di seluruh dunia yang boleh diakses apabila kita mempunyai kemudahan WiFi pada komputer atau PDA kita. Daripada pengalaman saya memang terdapat banyak hotspot, di kawasan eropah, seperti di Lapangan terbang, di Hotel di kawasan membeli belah dan juga di kedai-kedai makan. Namun jika di Malaysia kebanyakaan hotspot ini adalah percuma tetapi disini semua hotspot adalah berbayar.

Kos untuk mengakses Internet di Lapangan Terbang Hanover adalah €4.50 untuk setengah jam. Lebih kurang RM 22.50. Memang mahal tetapi jika tidak ada pilihan maka terpaksa gunakannya juga.

WiFi memang telah pun boleh digunakan dimana-mana, ianya tidak lagi perlu dibincangkan. Tetapi pada pagi ini saya ingin membincangkan kemudahan WiFi yang boleh kita perolehi ditempat yang jarang sekali kita gunakan. Tempatnya adalah didalam kapalterbang. Saya sekarang tengah menggunakan WiFi didalam kapalterbang didalam penerbangan pulang ke Malaysia, sekarang berada diatas ruang udara India.

Kemudahan WiFi didalam kapalterbang ini menggunakan teknologi satelit, dimana sambungan Interent dipancarkan terus dari satelit kepada AP atau access point yang terdapat didalam kapalterbang ini.

Kemudahan ini sertakat ini hanya diberikan oleh penerbangan yang menggunakan pesawat Boeing sahaja. Ini adalah kerana teknologi ini menggunakan satelit yang di selenggarakan oleh Boeing sendiri. Walaupun begitu tidak semua pesawat Boeing ada menyediakan kemudahan ini, ianya bergantung kepada pihak pengusaha penerbangan.

Setakat ini Syarikat Lufthansa ada menyediakan kemudahan ini dan ianya boleh digunakan semasa didalam perjalanan pergi dan pulang. Saya pun didalam perjalanan pulang sekarang, didalam masa kira-kira 10 jam lagi saya akan sampai ke Malaysia insyaalah. Semuga apa yang telah disampaikan setakat ini semasa saya berada di luar negara dapat di manfaatkan dengan apa segi sekali pun. Sekian saya Azli Paat untuk InfoICT dari 20,000 kaki di udara India.

Kampung Kenawar adalah diantara 93 buah kampung yang terdapat di dalam Daerah Segamat ini.



Jalan dari Bandar Segamat ke kampung-kampung di dalam Mukim Pogoh. Ini ialah jambatan baru Sg. Chodan yang telah ditambak untuk mengatasi masalah banjir. Sebelum jalan baru ini setiap kali air bah ia akan tenggelam dan untuk menyeberang hanyalah dengan perahu dan tentulah kena bayar upahnya.. Di sebelah kanan ialah Surau Kg. Kenawar. Surau ini juga telah dinaiki air pada banjir besar yang melanda negeri Johor pada tahun 2006.

36 years have elapsed since I  Ieft AFATS way back in 1972. Setelah tahun demi tahun berlalu, semalam adalah saat yang bersejarah bagi RAR kerana pertama kali dapat bersua teman-teman lama yang tak pernah bersua dan dapat pula bertemu braders yang baru yang selama ini mungkin pernah membaca tulisan RAR tetapi tidak pernah melihat RAR di alam nyata. Pertemuan di Pulnord adalah pertemuan yang nostalgik kerana ia mengambalikan kenangan silam semasa RAR berada di AFATS 1969-1972.

Kepada braders yang masih berkhidmat di dalam tentera, braders akan merasakan kelainan apabila kalian mengharungi kehidupan awam nanti. Orang awam tidak bisa menghayati kehidupan espirit de corp yang terjalin di kalangan anggota tentera. Pengalaman RAR semasa ditumpangkan kepada the New Straits Times Group untuk berkhidmat dengan the Malay Mail pada Januari 1993-Jun 1993 amat berguna untuk membezakan budaya tentera yang kita lalui dengan kehidupan awam yang lebih bersifat nafsi-nafsi engkau engkau aku aku. Askar mudah belanja makan minum. Civilian. No. Bukan tak ada. Ada. Tapi askar lebih pemurah. Selalunya pegawailah yang kena belanja prebet. Ada juga prebet pernah belanja RAR masa dalam tentera dulu.

Berbalik dengan program kita di Pulnord RAR nampak kelainannya. Tidak ada protokol. Tidak ada permaidani merah. Tidak ada ucpan macam program parti politik. Semuanya bersahaja. Everything happened smoothly. RAR yang tak pernah berinteraksi dg braders AFTAS selama 36 tahun terasa seperti di rumah sendiri. Semua braders mengukir senyum. RAR pun tak kenal siapa yang Kolonel siapa yang koperal. Of course Jen Aziz kenal sebab dia intake 3. Intake 4 jadi freshie RAR. Tapi sebab RAR tak berapa berkenan nak RAGGING JUNIOR maka RAR ini mungkin kurang popular di AFATS. Bergaduh pun tak pernah. Inilah cantiknya AFATS. Kita tak pernah bergaduh. Sebenarnya brader AFATS itulah yang menggantikan ibu dan bapa. Bayangkan umur 15 tahun dah pakai uniform jauh daripada pengawasan ibu bapa. KIta membesar dengan cara kita sendiri. Education officers mengajar akademik. Military instructors mengajar kita kawad. Guru agama seminggu sekali bagi syarahan agama kat dewan makan AFATS dari PLR Port Dickson. Kita tidak banyak belajar agama  di AFATS. Tidak ada yang khusus mendidik kita untuk menjadi manusia. Kita sebenarnya belajar sendiri. Kita lihat senior kita bakar lilin untuk kilatkan boot kawad. Kita lihat senior kita untuk pakai parties. Ada yang belajar kanji uniform sendiri. Berbelak sana berbelak sini kena kanji.

Askar mengajar kita MENJERIT.

Aura askar kurang kelihatan dalam pertemuan kita di Pulnord. Of course tak ada main tabik-tabik spring and what not.  Sembang askar terbahak-bahak itu memang adalah. Askar memang selalu ceria. Tetapi dalam gelak tawa itu tersohor rasa hormat menghormati antara satu sama lain. Masing-masing kelihatan tawadhuk baik jeneral ke kolonel ke baik yang telah bersara ataupun yang masih berkhidmat. Suasana ini memang sungguh ideal.  

YOU WILL MISS ALL THE FUN WHEN YOU LEAVE THE MILITARY.

Macam RAR nilah. Kenangan yang indah itu hanya dapat dilukiskan dengan untaian kata dan tulisan. Alangkah indahnya KALAU JARUM JAM itu boleh DIPUTAR KE BELAKANG dan kita berada dalam zaman pakai seluar pendek, kawad, kena EXTRA DRILL, gunting rambut dengan Anay, pergi sembahyang Jumaat berbaris, mengusung pinggan warna hijau, bawa gelas plastik warna hijau, pakai tuala hijau (RAR CAN'T REMEMBER kalau kita diissuekan dengan seluar dalam HIJAU), bawa pisau, bawa garfu, bawa camca, minum kopi pahit, mihun keras kejang, kacang bender berlendir, ikan kembung, MAGNOLIA, telor rebus, roti wap, main perang2 dg SLR di hutan  Segenting, mandi kat Batu 4 Sirusa, cross country (short cut selalu), report sick di RSAT, menonton tv sampai jam 12 malam, masa itu dapat RM60 sebulan besar sudah cukup besar.

Masa berlalu seolah-olah baru semalam kita berpisah. em.......... ..we are aging braders..... ......... .ini sunatullah yang kita tidak dapat lari......rambut pun dan mula gugur putih...ingatan makin lama makin hilang...... .

Apakah kita akan bersua dengan Ramadan yang akan datang hanya Allah yang menentukan.. .Manusia merancang..tetapi Allah Maha Perancang... .....
