14 October 1993 - I bought Macintosh Color Classic II including Apple Stylewriter II Printer at the price of RM4650.00. It was the first mac using a 10" (9" viewable) colour monitor (Sony CRT). An improved version (aka Performa 275) was launched in late 1993 in Canada then in Japan.

In the days before Pentiums and Athlons, the CPUs at the heart of PCs were
known as 286, 386 and 486. Actually, before that came the 8086 and 8088, but
the point here is that although the chips were called 286, 386 and 486,
their ACTUAL code numbers were 80286, 80386 and 80486. I.e. the prefix meant
a range of CPUs. Today, that same reasoning applies to Intel's video
chipsets. I.e 845G is the same as 82485g.
